The Flashlight (Called a Torch on Console versions) can be used to cast light in any dark place, mainly in tunnels or at night when you are outside of your cell. The use button for the flashlight is X in the console version and it activates automatically in PC. The flashlight will not work in mobile. It is a crafting material needed to escape the Jingle Cells prison.
Obtaining[ | ]
This item is used by guards at night while keeping an eye out for escaping prisoners. It can be bought from inmates or found in their desks. Though guards do carry flashlights at night, they don't always have them in their inventory when beaten down. It is not essential as most escapes (with the exception of Jingle Cells and Santa's Sweatshop) can be executed fine without one.
