The player can take on several jobs that allow them to advance within the game. This can be expected to include building relationships with NPCs, scavenging resources, and taking part in events that affect the game world.
There are currently only three jobs available.
Completing the quota for the work period will result in being paid. Performing additional work once the quota has been met will not result in additional money, so it is safe to leave once the quota has been met.
Each job requires the player to perform a different set of tasks, though all rely on taking some type of item and converting it into another via crafting or using the machines present at the job location.
The pay for each job differs. The Laundry pays the least, followed by the Wood Shop, and lastly the Metal Shop.
Laundry
LAUNDRY POSITION
It is the responsibility of laundry workers to wash prisoner and guard outfits.
Take the dirty outfits and place them in the washers. Once complete, place the resulting clean outfits in the correct container.
Move dirty clothes to washing machine and move clean clothes from washing machine to the clean clothes box. Clean guard uniforms can be stolen by wearing it while walking through the metal detector. Once through, switch to the prison uniform.
Kitchen
KITCHEN POSITION
Kitchen workers have the duty of preparing prison meals.
This involves first taking uncooked food from the freezer and cooking it in the oven. Once it's cooked, place it on the serving trays.
Wood Shop
WOODSHOP POSITION
Woodshop workers have the job of crafting furniture for sale on the outside.
Take three timbers from the woodpile and place all of them in the crafting menu to craft a chair. Put completed furniture in the assigned container.
Combine 3 Timber together in the crafting menu to create furniture. Place completed furniture into the other container. Both timber and furniture can be stolen.
Metal Shop
METALSHOP POSITION
Workers in the metalshop are tasked with creating license plates for sale on the outside.
Use the sheet metal on the print press to create a license plate. Place completed plates back in the assigned container.
Take metal from the left box and use it on the press to create license plates. Move completed license place to the box on the right. Both metal and license plates can be stolen.
Smuggling Contraband
Contraband can be smuggled using the Contraband Pouch. When the contraband pouch is present in the player's inventory, metal detectors will not be activated. The contraband pouch loses durability when the player walks through a metal detector, regardless of whether or not the player is smuggling contraband at the time. When the durability reaches 0%, it is removed from the player's inventory.
