The Makeshift Stungun is one of the most powerful weapons in The Escapists 2, along with the Cup of Molten Chocolate. It will K-O any inmate or guard it is used on, except for a Riot Guard, who takes 2 hits. It can only be used 5 limited times before it breaks. It is also one of the several energy-module powered weapons, alongside the Super Metal Baton, Energy Sword, Super Knuckle Duster, and the Cattle Prod.

As Paper Clips do not spawn naturally in some prisons, it can be difficult to find the ingredients to craft a Makeshift Stungun. However, the player can still obtain the Makeshift Stungun and some of its crafting ingredients through Favours (like A Call For Arms or Lost Property, respectively).
